Continue ShoppingWhat do you see in a garden? Isn’t it amazing that we all see different elements when we walk through a garden. Like when you go specifically looking for pollinators on your flowers and you find your garden is full of life; bees, butterflies and hummingbirds appear out of nowhere. And I am always amazed when people say things like, “my favourite part was the lemon balm”, when I know I planted it as an afterthought to add more filler to the fold. People see different things.
When I first saw Samantha’s Wild Jewelry, it was easy to see that she sees something different when she looks at flowers. Her creations are absolutely stunning. To walk through a garden and already know what a flower or leaf is going to look like in her gorgeous resin, teardrop pendant is astounding. Looking at her work is like looking at a miniature garden, preserved at just the right moment, to last an eternity.
Beauty, they say, is in the eye of the beholder. Well, behold! If you like spending time in your garden, you are sure to love the vision and originality of Samantha’s Wild Jewelry.

I love flower wreaths and grew some flowers and grains specifically for dried arrangements and fall decorating. I’m still enjoying them even have a few tucked in my Christmas tree!

Lately I have been seeing beautiful handmade flower crowns and I can’t wait for my grand daughter to be old enough for me to make her one.

Looking at this jewelry reminds me of the terra cotta stones that I purchased back in the 90’s from Lee Valley Tools. You could press fresh flowers between the 2 stones of terra cotta, put it the microwave for several seconds and it would preserve the flower and its colouring for long period of time. I still have some stored in a sketchbook. Now that I’m recently retired I should get back to using this great tool and preserve some beautiful flowers.

My eight year old daughter collects a variety of tiny blossoms to press and use for making pretty crafts.
