Plant Type: Annual
Height: 36"
Sun: Full Sun
Sow: Indoors weeks before last frost, or directly into prepared beds. Germination can take 7 to 14 days.
Transplant: Harden off and transplant once the soil can be worked in the spring
Days to Maturity: 60 days
Plant Spacing: 4-6"
Harvest Tips: Harvest them when the pods are green and still tender, and the peas inside are just starting to swell. Snap off the tough ends and pull off any strings, and eat the entire pods or just the peas inside.
Approximate Seeds per Packet: 50
Please note that pea seeds are treated seed. This provides extra protection against less than ideal growing conditions. That means you can plant earlier without the worry of rotting seed from cold, wet early spring weather. This treatment also ensures better germination as well as enhanced resistance to soil-borne disease and fungi.
